1. Folding Box Board (FBB) GC1-GC2
Folding boxboard, also referred to as FBB or by the DIN Standard 19303 codes of GC or UC, is a paperboard grade made up of multiple layers of chemical and mechanical pulp. This grade is made up of mechanical pulp in between two layers of chemical pulp. The top layer is of bleached chemical pulp with an optional pigment coating. This is a low-density material with high stiffness and has a slightly yellow color, mainly on the inside. The major end uses of folding boxboard are health and beauty products, frozen, chilled and other foods, confectionaries, pharmaceuticals, graphical uses and cigarettes.
2. Duplex Board Grey/White/Kraft Back
Coated duplex board, mainly is a type of boxboard with a glossy coated surface on one side for superior printability. Mainly made by recycle pulp and paper, so also named: Coated Recycled Board (CRB) in some market. This product is typically used as packaging material for small boxes that require high quality printability, such as consumer electronic products, cosmetics and other consumer merchandise
3. Tetra Pack
Tetra Pak is a wonderful invention. The aseptic packaging can keep milk fresh for months without refrigeration. There are hundreds of products that are given extended shelf life with it.
4. Poly Cup Stock (PE one side/PE two side/PE one clay one side)
The polycoated board are used for making cups for serving hot & cold beverages, the cup stock board when coated with LDPE gives it moisture & water resistance on poly side, sealing property 7 more strength.
5. Uncoated cup Stock
includes the protection layers required to prevent grease, liquids or moisture from absorbing into the package. The versatility of the board is increased by its heat sealing capacity, cleanness, lightness and first-class printing surface. Uncoated cup stock aims to provide efficient plate formation and offers a high-yield option in the economy plate segment.
6. PET Laminated Board
MET-PET paper offers a cost-effective way to create attractive product packaging guaranteed to get customers’ products noticed. MET-PET is permanently adhered to a backer sheet, commonly solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board, when the laminate is meant for use as packaging material. Metalized polyester film is printable with some methods, however, many print processes benefit from laminates treated with a special clear coat designed to allow for the adhesion of printing ink.
7. Liquid packaging board (LPB – Gray board)
Liquid packaging board is a multi-ply paperboard with high stiffness, strong wet sizing and a high barrier coating. Only virgin paper fibers are used. The barrier coating must hold the liquid and prevent migration of air and flavors through the paperboard. A liquid packaging board might be up to five plies and is formed on a multi-ply paper machine with online coating. The most common is to use three plies with a basis weight of about 300 g/m
8. Coated Natural Kraft board (CNK)
is made from virgin un-bleached wood pulp and roughly 15% recovered kraft mill fibers. CNK has a clay coated top surface which allows this grade to be printed with multiple colors and coatings. It provides extra stiffness and tear strength, making it the ideal choice for Beverage packaging
9. Core Board (Grey/Brown)
Multi-ply board produced from 100% FSC certified recovered paper. This board is used in various applications where printing quality is not a major requirement. For example it is used in the production of tubes and cores for the tissue, battery, textile and paper industries and for consumer products including puzzles and games. Other uses of this product are partitions, box dividers and slip sheets.
10. Coated & Lined Duplex board (GD1,GD2,GD3)
Duplex board is a kind of paperboard or cardboard. It is called duplex board because it is made up of two layers, or plies. The exterior of the board is very often coated to make it more water-resistant and to give it a glossy sheen, but even uncoated duplex board is strong enough to make disposable cups.
11. Poly Coated paper & Board
Polycoated Paper is manufactured by laminating Kraft Paper with Poly Laminated Film. The resin that use to coat with is LDPE/LLDPE. Poly Coated Kraft Paper is used for various applications for wrapping food products, boxes etc. They provide moisture and barrier protection in heat and cold to the packed products.
12. Kraft Carried Board (KCB-coated & uncoated)
Kraft Board Stock shall consist of printed or unprinted solid Kraft board stock, may include un-corrugated cartons, sheet or trimmings.
Must be free of boxboard, may contain wet strength treated materials.
13. Binding Board
Very stiff paperboard used to make covers of case bound books.
14. Triplex board (GT1-GT2)
White acid free board. Used for presentations, school projects, design applications, building models, displaying, presentations and screen printing.
15. Triplex board (GT1-GT2)
This board is Coated white, very stable multi-purpose board – ideal for presentations, projects and framing. Board manufactured from three stocks, one of which is waste (middle), with a different paper top and bottom
16. Solid Bleached Sulphate Board (SBS) – C1S/C2S
Solid bleached board (SBB) or solid bleached sulphate (SBS) is a virgin fiber grade of paperboard. This grade is made purely from bleached chemical pulp and usually has a mineral or synthetic pigment coated top surface in one or more layers (C1S) and often also a coating on the reverse side (C2S).
17. Poly 1 side & Clay 1 side – SBS food board
Solid Bleached Sulphate (SBS) is made exclusively from bleached chemical pulp. It usually has a coated top surface and some grades are also coated on the reverse side.
18. Coated Kraft back CKB
It is an ideal packaging material for folding cartons of dry, chilled and frozen food, chocolate, wine and spirits. The material’s exceptional stiffness and strength, combined with great run ability and printing quality, make CKB a world-class choice for a wide range of applications. Yet one of the most important reasons to choose CKB is its proven food safety.
19. Cast Coated paper & board
A high gloss, mirror-like surface, one side or two sides.Allowing the coating to harden while in contact with chromium polished surfaced coats cast coated paper. In the process of cast coating, the coated paper is press against a solid, highly polished chrome surface while the coating is in a plastic condition.
20. C1S/C2S paper & board
these papers are commonly referred to as C1S (coated one side) or C2S (coated two sides). In a C1S paper the coating has been applied to only one side of the paper. C2S the coating is on both sides. Typically the coated side is glossy.
21. Colored Grey Board
Greyboard is an interesting product. This is starting with its raw material – waste paper. Carelessly thrown away it would be a nuisance, but purposfully collected and gently preprocessed at Merckens it is a material with unlimited fields of applications – priced with the environmental protection sign “Blue Angel”. If some color pigment adds to its pulp, the final products will have a color on its surface but with a grey back as normal.
